Yuji Otsuki MD. Ph.D.　Chief Executive Officer Co-founder

As a surgeon, Yuji encountered cancer patients who were not responding positively to existing treatments. Guided by these experiences, he made the strategic decision to pursue the development of new therapies and transitioned to a career in research. At the Institute of Advanced Medical Sciences, Keio University School of Medicine, he conducted research on anticancer drugs with a completely novel mechanism of action targeting "ferroptosis." Through consistent work spanning basic research, he developed a unique lead project with the potential to become a first-in-class drug. To deliver these research findings to patients in a timely manner, he established FerroptoCure, Inc. The company's objective is to deliver novel treatment options for patients suffering from intractable cancers, a field where there is a significant unmet medical need.

Hiryuki Hanada Director

Hiroyuki has accumulated extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, holding positions ranging from basic research to clinical development and business development. In addition to new drug development, he has extensive experience in licensing and management at drug discovery startups.

Takahiro Ouchi Director

Takahiro's professional background includes a role in investments in the life sciences sector at a venture capital firm, followed by senior management positions as CFO and COO at a drug discovery startup. He has a proven track record in the biotech industry, with extensive experience in areas such as fundraising and M&A.

Osamu graduated from the School of Dentistry at Hiroshima University and completed a doctoral programme in medicine at Kumamoto University. He spearheaded the fundamental research that laid the groundwork for our company's anticancer drug development programme.

Toru Natsume

Ph.D.　Co-founder

Toru is a graduate of the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Tokyo and completed his doctoral program in medicine at Kyoto University. He has been engaged in drug discovery research as Director of the Research Center at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST). He also has experience with several start-ups.

Nobuhiro Nishiyama

Nobuhiro holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tokyo. He is responsible for the leadership of drug discovery and development, utilising drug delivery systems.
