Winner of “AICHI NEXT UNICORN LEAGUE Season 8”

FerroptoCure Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Yuji Otsuki) is pleased to announce that it won first place at the final judging round of the “AICHI NEXT UNICORN LEAGUE Season 8: ‘Deep Tech × Global’”—a business plan competition organized by Aichi Prefecture—held in Osaka on October 5, 2026.

This contest is aimed at startups in the deep tech sector seeking to expand into global markets, and promising companies from across Japan participated from a wide range of fields, including AI, semiconductors, quantum technology, bio/healthcare, and space. The final judging session was held as a side event of the global deep tech event “Global Startup EXPO 2026.”

We won the championship thanks to high praise for our unique drug discovery approach—which targets the antioxidant system involved in cancer cell resistance—for treating intractable cancers that are difficult to treat with existing therapies, as well as for our vision for global business expansion.

FerroptoCure will continue to advance the development of a novel oral anticancer drug that targets the antioxidant system. Through clinical development both in Japan and overseas, as well as partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, we aim to deliver new treatment options to patients with intractable cancers around the world.
